What Is Vaginoplasty?

Vaginoplasty is any surgical procedure whose purpose is to treat vaginal structural defects, affect aesthetic considerations to partially/totally construct or reconstruct a vagina.

In other words, vaginoplasty refers to just about any procedure relating to the vagina.

These days Vaginoplasty and Vaginal Rejuvenation  are often used interchangeably.

Common Vaginoplasty Surgical Procedures

The most common surgical procedures associated with vaginoplasty are:

  • Labiaplasty - A reduction in the size or removal of pigmentation of inner or outer lips to improve function, appearance and sometimes comfort
  • Clitoral Hood Reduction - An increase in stimulation by removing or lessening of excess tissue around the clitoris
  • Hymenoplasty - Reattaching the hymen (most commonly for religious purposes or as a celebration of a strong union)
  • Liposuction of Mons Pubis - Removal of fat pad that covers the pubic bone

The term vaginoplasty is used to describe any such vaginal surgery.

The two most popular or common surgical procedures are Vaginal Tightening and Labiaplasty.

A good number of the women I have worked with chose to do a combination of procedures.
