What Is Vaginaplasty?

Vaginaplasty is any surgical procedure whose purpose is to treat vaginal structural defects, affect aesthetic considerations, or to partially or totally construct or reconstruct a vagina.

In other words, vaginaplasty includes things like tightening the vaginal canal and making your vagina look "prettier".

Vaginaplasty is frequently referred to as Vaginoplasty.

Common Vaginaplasty Surgical Procedures

The most common surgical procedures associated with vaginaplasty are:

• Labiaplasty - A reduction in the size or removal of pigmentation of inner or outer lips to improve function, appearance and sometimes comfort

• Vaginal Rejuvenation or Vaginal Tightening (with or without a laser) - Tightening of the vaginal canal and entrance to a pre-child or virgin-like state

• Clitoral Hood Reduction - An increase in stimulation by removing or lessening of excess tissue around the clitoris

• Hymenoplasty - Reattaching the hymen (most commonly for religious purposes or as a celebration of a strong union)

• Liposuction of Mons Pubis - Removal of fat pad that covers the pubic bone

The term vaginaplasty is used to describe any such vaginal surgery.

The two most popular or common surgical procedures are Vaginal Tightening (tightening of the vaginal canal) and Labiaplasty (reduction in the size of the inner or outer lips).

The majority of the women I have worked with chose to do a combination of procedures.
