The Truth About Labiaplasty (Labioplasty)

Labiaplasty (or labioplasty) may be the most controversial cosmetic surgery available today.

The idea of altering the shape of your labia minora or labia majora for cosmetic reasons is appealing to some and appalling to others.

Many people believe the myth of the perfect vagina is being driven by the pornography industry and it's airbrushed version of perfection as well as on shows like Dr. 90210.

And to a certain extent, this is true.

However, the majority of the women I interact with are also thinking of the function and physical aspect of their labia.

There are also valid medical reasons why a woman would consider labiaplasty as well.

As a vaginal surgery consultant, I have seen and talked to both.

This site has been created to educate and inform you.  Regardless of where you are in the process.

The choice to have labia reduction is a personal one that each woman must make for herself.

In my experience, there are women that benefit from labiaplasty whether they have it for cosmetic or physical reasons.

But this surgery is not for everybody.

Are You A Candidate?

To make matters worse and more confusing, an ever expanding number of doctors are now willing to perform labiaplasty.

How do you know if your doctor is good or not?  What questions should you ask them?

The most important decision you will make in labiaplasty is which doctor you allow to do it.

Make the wrong choice and you may join the list of labiaplasty horror stories.  Make the right choice and you'll likely be happy with the results.

In my opinion, you can never do enough research when it comes to your health and well-being.  I have found the books below to be very educational on vaginal rejuvenation, labiapalsty and cosmetic surgery in general.
