Trusted Doctor Criteria - How To Find a Doctor You Can Trust

In working with several vaginal rejuvenation & labiaplasty doctors, interviewing some of the best and talking with women that have seen some of the worst out there, I have compiled strict criteria to help you determine if a surgeon is qualified to provide these surgeries or not.

This is the same criteria I would use for myself.  You should meet with as many doctors as you can to find the one you are most comfortable with and confident in.

This is your body, and choosing a doctor is truly one of the most important decisions you will make in this process.  Believe me, I have seen way too many women that trusted the wrong doctor and paid the price!

I would advise you not to have the surgery at all rather than trust your body to an inexperienced and insensitive doctor.

There can be some serious risks that come with these surgeries, and the smartest way to avoid these risks is by doing your research and finding a doctor that knows what they are doing!

Trusted Doctor Criteria

So what are some of the criteria used to evaluate doctors for inclusion on my Trusted Doctors list?

Extensive Experience - Have they performed many of these procedures with excellent results?

Frequency of Surgery - Do they do a lot of these surgeries on a weekly/monthly basis?

Established Practice - Have they been practicing medicine for a long time?

Proper Medical License - Do they currently have the proper licenses and credentials to practice medicine?

Board Certified - Are they certified by one of the major medical boards?

In Good Standing - Are they in good standing with the medical board?

Cosmetic/Aesthetic Affiliation - Are they members of any cosmetic/aesthetic surgery organizations? Have they been trained to take the "look" into consideration?

Hospital Privileges - Do they operate in a hospital, an accredited surgical center or in their office?

Touch-Up/Revision - Do they have a touch-up policy? What happens if you aren't satisfied with the results?

Consultation with Doctor - Are your consultations with the doctor or a medical assistant?

Follow-Up Visits - Are follow-up visits included in the fees you've paid?

Before & After Pics - Do they provide before and after pictures of their actual patients?

Patient Focused - Do they have a satisfactory bedside manner with a proven commitment to providing the best patient care possible?
