Labiaplasty Is Not For Everybody

These days, as the popularity and awareness of labiaplasty and other cosmetic/surgical procedures grow, so does the interest in the procedures.

Disk jockeys are talking about it, movie stars are having it done and now so are young teen girls.

The reality is that labiaplasty is not for everyone, just like anything else.  Some women need it for medical reasons and/or physical deformities while others simply want it because it makes them feel better.

Are You A Candidate?

Some gynecologists are trained to do labia reductions for legitimate medical reasons (i.e. a cyst, growth or tear on the labia), it is not always about creating the "perfect vagina".

So with that said, if you are happy with labia, then great!  Labiaplasty is definitely not for you :-)

Labia reduction is for the women desiring to alter the appearance, improve the function or correct a deformity of their labia.

And like any surgery, there are always risks.

Most of the women I talk to tell me their partners are not concerned with what their vagina looks like.  And for most women, altering their labia has nothing to do with their partners at all.

It is about emotionally, physically and psychologically feeling better about themselves and their bodies.  It is about comfort.

Generally people neglect to understand that some women do experience terrible physical and emotional pain because of abnormally large labia.

However, it is important for you to consider why you are thinking about vaginal enhancements.

If you wish to feel better, always do it for yourself (never to please somebody else).

Do your research and do want is right for you.  Do ask plenty of questions.

Take your time and find a qualified doctor.   You will be so glad you did!
