Labiaplasty Recovery Time
So just what is the recovery time for labiaplasty surgery?

Labiaplasty is a relatively noninvasive procedure that usually takes place in an outpatient facility or in a cosmetic surgeon's office.  Recovery time is dependent on a few things.

Depending on doctor, surgery is performed with either a laser, scalpel, cautery or radio frequency (these days).

Most women are walking around soon after (same day) the labia reduction.  The recovery time can vary depending on the woman, her weight, the instrument used, doctor's skill/experience, etc.

Though everyone heals differently.  Typically a woman is able to return to work after 3-5 days.

It is always recommended to not do any heavy lifting of anything over 10 pounds, no exercising, swimming or sexual intercourse for 6-8 weeks (depending on your body and doctor's orders).

I personally like to err on the side of caution and believe it best to take as long as necessary to allow your body to heal appropriately.  It is also another way to ensure the satisfactory results

If you neglect doctor's orders and stitches come undone, you could ultimately have to go back to get a touch-up.

Remember ladies, this is a sensitive area so take good care of it.
Keep the area clean and dry (moisture also can increase risks of infection and prolong healing).
Icing the area will help with swelling and discomfort.

Having worked for one of the most experienced laser vaginal rejuvenation/labiaplasty surgeons in the world and working with women all over the world, it is best to follow instructions.

In other words, if you don't use the right ingredients or don't bake a cake for the full 30-45 minutes, your cake won't cook fully and it won't look right either...

While this is not a major surgery (comparatively speaking), it is still surgery and you should allow yourself time to heal properly.

Take your time to heal, you will be glad you did!

Are you a Candidate for Labiaplasty?
