The History of Vaginal Rejuvenation

Most people hear the term vaginal rejuvenation and automatically think it is a new procedure that is only about better sex.

They heard about it on the news being described as a new trend in cosmetic surgery.

In fact, many find the topic controversial and choose to avoid it all together.

But the truth is, vaginal rejuvenation (or vaginal tightening) has been around for more than 60 years.

The only difference is that in the past, it was only performed for medical and anatomical needs (i.e. rectal bulging, bladder prolapse, etc.)

These days, some women are also having these tightening procedures done to enhance their sex lives.

A little more than a decade ago, a group of doctors started marketing these medical procedures as ways to "rejuvenate" and enhance ones sex life.

And women no longer had to wait for insurance to approve the procedures.

Women were now able to elect to have the tightening done simply for cosmetic purposes.

However, in my experience, more than 50% of the women having vaginal tightening are still concerned with treating a medical issue.

This new marketing push for vaginal rejuvenation has raised awareness worldwide for these procedures.

While vaginal tightening the procedure is relatively old, vaginal rejuvenation the industry is still relatively new.

It's the wild wild west of vaginal surgery right now.

And as more and more women share the benefits and their experience, more and more doctors are eager to perform the surgery.

This increased competition has lead to a wide range of doctors (with differing levels of skill) offering tightening for a wide range of prices.

As such, it is extremely important that you thoroughly research your doctor

The simple fact is that there are women that want vaginal rejuvenation.  They are tired of physical issues or just want to feel sexy again.

Vaginal rejuvenation will continue to evolve.

And as awareness of this surgery increases, there will only be more doctors offering to perform it.
