Even though for some women it might seem like common sense, not everyone knows how to choose their "regular" doctor, much less their vaginal rejuvenation & labiaplasty surgeon.

Not all doctors are created equal. :(

In reality, there is no sure-fire way to know if your doctor is good.  Especially these days when just about any doctor can offer these surgeries, even your dentist.

A nice office and a nice staff are great. But neither of those is an indicator of quality work.

But happy previous patients is.

The best way to know if your vaginal tightening/labiaplasty doctor is good is by talking to one of their former patients or patient testimonials.

What was their experience? Are they happy with the results? What did they like about the doctor? What didn't they like?

If you don't know a former patient personally, some doctors will offer contact with patients that have agreed to share their experience with other women.

This is an excellent way for you to find out what other women think about the doctor.

Before and after pictures of their actual patients is also VERY important.

Any reputable vaginal rejuvenation and/or labiaplasty doctor is going to have plenty of photos available for you to look at.

Look for "before" pictures that are similar to your own condition, as well as after pictures that look like you want to.

You can even use these before and after pictures to show the doctor exactly what you want done.

Finally, ask your doctor lots of questions.

What are their credentials/training? How many procedures have they performed? What other types of surgery do they do?

Any credible doctor will be more than happy to discuss their qualifications with you.

If a doctor does not want to share the answers, or is evasive, then head for the door.

Look for a doctor that has been performing the procedure for years and make sure they are not practicing on you.

Choose the one you are most are most confident in and comfortable with. This is not an area you want to turn over to just anyone.

Take your time.  Be selective and you can avoid becoming a horror story.
