What most people do not know, and need to be very cautious about, is that technically any licensed medical doctor can perform cosmetic surgery.

So yes, even your dentist could theoretically perform a labiaplasty.

Now, any deal involving vaginal surgery and a teeth cleaning should throw up a red flag for you. :-)

Needless to say, it is very important to know how to pick the doctor that will perform surgery on you.

This is especially true in the United States, where any medical doctor can perform surgery, even with no surgical experience.

I have seen first hand the butchered results that a novice surgeon can provide.

And I don't say this to alarm you, but to stress how critical it is that even though a doctor says he/she can perform a labia reduction or vaginal tightening, you MUST be aware.

Risks of Vaginal Rejuvenation.

You should find out everything you need in order to feel comfortable with the doctors qualifications.

It's not enough that this doctor is a gynecologist or a plastic surgeon anymore. Some of the worst labiaplasties I've seen were done by these doctors.

What kind of training do they have in vaginal surgery? How many surgeries have they done? Do they have before and after pictures?

Questions you need to ask.

I have worked for both the highly specialized surgeon that only focuses on vaginal rejuvenation and a medical doctor (a family practitioner that performed an array of treatments and cosmetic procedures).

Both can get you what you want. But make sure you understand exactly who is performing your procedure and their experience.

With so many doctors now offering vaginal rejuvenation and labiaplasty procedures, it is becoming tougher to know which surgeons are good or not.

Take your time, do your research and don't go forward with the surgery unless you are 100% confident in the ability of your surgeon!
