What Is Vaginal Rejuvenation?

Vaginal rejuvenation can be just about any procedure to have the vagina "rejuvenated".

However, most of the time, vaginal rejuvenation refers to tightening the vaginal canal and entrance to a "pre-birth" state.

This is done to repair structural damage as a result of vaginal delivery, correct stress urinary incontinence, or simply tighten the vagina for increased sexual satisfaction.

A vaginal tightening may or may not include labiaplasty and/or clitoral hood reduction.

The procedure is performed with either a laser or a scalpel and takes between 1 to 5 hours and requires up to 8 weeks of recovery time

After child birth many women experience a loss of sensation in that area caused by the trauma of delivery.

And following pregnancy, the pieces don't always fit together like they used to.

Statistically, it is estimated that 30 million women in the U.S. suffer from vaginal laxity.  And millions more endure the symptoms of stress urinary incontinence.

Vaginal rejuvenation can help women regain control of their lives.

While the term vaginal rejuvenation has become popular over the past few years thanks to increased coverage in the media, these procedures have actually been around for a long time.

And while it is a relatively safe procedure, it's not without risks.

If you are considering vaginal rejuvenation, always research your doctor thoroughly and ask a lot of questions.
