Difference Between Scalpel or Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation

Is one better than the other?

That all depends on results.  The truth is some argue that Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation (LVR) is better than traditional methods.

Though the procedure is essentially the same, both should achieve the same goal, not everyone feels you get the same results from using a scalpel as in using the laser.

Here's a quote from the pioneer behind LVR "it's like trying to write a love letter with a knife vs an ink pen.  Which one would you pick?".

Nevertheless, it is suggested that Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation benefits include:

  • Less blood loss (since the heat of the laser seals blood vessels)
  • A quicker recovery time
  • Better precision/accuracy
  • Less risk of infection
  • And ultimately better results.

In my opinion and from my experience, you can get excellent results at the hands of an experienced surgeon regardless of the instrument used; a scalpel or laser.  With the right knowledge and proficiency, results can be just as great with a scalpel or even better.

The surgeon I worked for was highly skilled and would use both a scalpel and laser, depending on the complexity of the procedure.  The more intense or greater detail involved called for the laser.  And the scalpel would be used for the less complicated or less invasive procedures.

More important for you though is to learn as much as you can about the doctor. See plenty of before and after pictures.  Read their testimonials.  Ask lots of questions and educate yourself.

Find out what is right for you and then determine the doctor that is best qualified to suit your needs.
